Hi! We’re Dani and Rod, partners in life, adventure and business.

Our journey began in 2009 when we made the life-changing decision to migrate from Brazil to Australia. We arrived full of hope, ready to embrace a new culture and determined to create something meaningful. The road wasn’t always easy, but we never lost sight of our dream. In 2014, after finally receiving our Australian residency, we knew it was time to bring a little slice of home to our new life on the Sunshine Coast.

And so, Brazilian Tapioca was born.

What started at the Noosa local markets in 2015 has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of. At the heart of our business is a simple, yet powerful idea: sharing the magic of tapioca with Australians.

This naturally gluten-free, light, and versatile cassava-based flour has been a staple in Brazilian kitchens for generations — and we knew it deserved a place here too.

Since then, our family has grown! We’re now the proud parents of Bella and Lua, and our passion for healthy, nourishing food is stronger than ever. We love being able to offer our little girls tasty and wholesome meals made with Brazilian tapioca — from waffles and pancakes to pizza bases, cheese bread, quiches, and even burger buns.

There’s so much you can create, and it’s all naturally gluten-free.

With so many coeliac people and gluten-sensitive eaters out there, we know how important it is to have delicious, healthy alternatives that don’t compromise on taste or texture. That’s exactly what we’re here to offer.

We do everything with our bare hands, right here on the Sunshine Coast

We hydrate our tapioca flour with our own bare hands, just like we used to do back home. We dry, sift, pack, seal and ship every single bag ourselves.

It’s a true small family business, run with love, care, and a whole lot of heart.

We’re passionate about good food that makes you feel good too, and we love introducing Aussies to this wholesome, delicious alternative.

We truly believe in what we do, and we’re so excited to keep growing this community of tapioca lovers. Because when something is this good — and this good for you — everyone should get to try it.
